The World According to Matt
09:16 PM

welcome back everyone! after a short hiatus, i’ve managed to put together my new layout and upgraded my publishing platform.

earlier this week, i was in the mood for change. this feeling doesn’t come too often. so i decided to wipe out my earlier version of MT 2.1 and upgrade it to the new MT 3.121. boy was i in for some geeky fun. after uploading all the files for MT 3.121, i was impressed with the refreshing chic interface. however, the impressed feeling halted there. MT has completely neglected to debug this new version. at first, i thought it was due to my negligence, as i often ‘scan’ instructions instead of carefully following it. however, after 4 installation trials, i think i can come to the conclusion is the platform is a piece software crap what reeks like my feet after a long day of leather-shoe-wearing work. ugh.

i ended up installing a previous MT 2.661. i was so pissed that i was going to switch platforms, but i really don’t want to learn another platform since i haven’t used any other platform since my switch from greymatter.

so yes, lots of exciting stuff in the new mattism:
> repaired the long-malfunctioned “remember me” function in the comments section
> new rss feed for my blog
> expect a photoblog as soon as i collect a considerable amount of digital pictures to implement one

hope you’re enjoying the new layout. i’m currently obsessed with with vector imaging with illustrator. it’s a lot of fun.

speaking of obsessed. that new destiny’s child song is super-addictive. i mistook the song as a beyonce song, but eric mentioned it to me yesterday that it was actually a band song. quite interesting because it seems like beyonce’s voice dominated the entire song.

speaking of songs, there’s been a lot of great songs released in the past month. maybe this is to make up for the lack of good songs this summer. i can honestly say that this there was ‘no song of the summer’ this summer. although this may be because i was stupidly in school this summer season. anyway, comment if you think i stand corrected. here’s what i’ve been checking out (‘non-radio’ people, read no further)

> Destiny’s Child - Lose My Breath
> Duran Duran - Sunrise
> Avril Lavigne - Nobody’s Home
> U2 - Vertigo
> Lindsay Lohan - Rumours

Note: Due to database corruption issues from November 7, 2004 to December 21, 2004, entry comments may been deleted, or misplaced. I have tried to recall some of the comments that was mentioned.

Dan complemented the design of this layout and asked whether I coded it by myself.

i love it.. but you already knew that.
i like the new layout..
i'm in the g5 labs, waiting for photochop to save my project so i can get out of here!
design classes aren't nearly as fun this year... well maybe its because i'm in a lab all alone, while everyone is out smoking the good stuff! :P
k.. i think photochop is done. yay. i get to go home.. finally... 3 weeks later and i'm done! :D

dan, yes i coded it all by myself, of course it is through the MT publishing platform, so it's not COMPLETELY all my work.

Matt, remember your ipod layout? Did you ever end up getting an IPod?
